Modelling by Deloitte shows that Labor’s plan to scrap lower-cost policies would result in a 16 per cent increase in private health insurance premiums for millions of Australians. That would make cover unaffordable for many individuals, families and pensioners.

So that would suggest that these lower-cost policies are the ones that insurers make the most money on even though they are junk. Deloitte perhaps might have been better off examining the burgeoning salaries of executives within these private health insurers.

Private health cover is already unaffordable for many. I'm in the top tax bracket & thinking of ditching mine. By the way this is a fake narrative. Many individuals who can't afford health cover don't need it because we have MEDICARE - and we all pay for that.

Why lie you are the ones that have allowed the Private Health funds to to rip off millions of Private Health fund members .They did not need a increase as they spend millions on Advertising to sporting codes .No advertising would save them increasing the cost .You Failed
