With over 85 million Pfizer vaccines already secured for supply into the future, Australia is well prepared to provide booster doses as approvals are provided by the medical experts.
So if we had 2 x Astra Zeneca are we now SUPPOSED to get Pfizer. Could you actually give CLEAR advice, just for once? #auspol #qanda @ScottMorrisonMP
Yes Only Pfizer is approved at present for boosters and it is recommended for all prior vax types
So why slow the process down by working through "priority groups" again? Saying to people past 6 months "We have enough vax for everyone and lots of people who can give it - but you can't have it because not enough of group X has got it yet". How does that make sense?
Hey @GregHuntMP while you're busy approving boosters for onshore aussies (of which only 8% of those double dosed have been vaxxed for 6 months or more) could you answer some of these questions for #StrandedAussiespic.twitter.com/5vtXTeKM9Q
We've been waiting a long time, only to now stumble at the final hurdle of getting into NSW or Vic (ignoring the issues getting in elsewhere) because many of us aren't considered double vaxxed by Australian standards and the arrival caps for "unvaxxed" are rapidly diminishing.
Hey @GregHuntMP can you also advise on mixed doses, as many of us locked out offshore were given (AZ/Moderna or Pfizer).
We have waited 20 months to get home & still cannot became
doesn’t recognize our
status unlike the rest of the world.
