At the same time there have been 61,355 vaccinations in Australia, which given the temporary pause in some state programs to ensure their processes were updated, these numbers represent strong and clear confidence in the vaccination program, particularly through the GP network.
The advice is very clear that continued vaccination is safe and encouraged, and that we should follow the guidance of our medical experts.

61k is a joke and you know it minister. If we were vaccinating at same rate as the usa, we'd be doing 60k before lunchtime every day, plus another 60k in the afternoon.

My 86 yr old dad was supposed to be one of them today. GP would not risk it due to low platelets. I asked what do we do now. She said I don’t know!! We were not the only one in the practice in this position. Government needs to do better. #auspoI

So what are you doing about the 700,000 cases world wide? How much vaccine have we sent to PNG and Timor-Leste outbreak? And why is Australia still opposing the international movement to waive the vaccine patents for poorer countries?

Don't trust you, don't trust the govt you are in, don't trust the contracts you announce but will not publish details of to the people who will pay for them. Because of this distrust I cannot accept the Astra Zeneca vaccine.
