Not necessarily Ron, a lot of the curriculum is focused on stabilisation once people are already in a healthcare setting, either engaged with a GP or admitted to a hospital. I did the mental health first aid program as a third year med student, found it very helpful.

Did the MHFA course end of last year - not sure who funded this but was appreciated. A good elective course, especially in the pre-clinical years as it can help you identify a mental health flags within patients, colleagues and within yourself!
