The difference between N95 and surgical masks can be life or death. Please be more transparent.
We have now received 60 million masks w/ 100 million more to come between now & the end of May. This will help give us the option to consider increases in elective surgery & IVF, and to protect our magnificent doctors, nurses & health workers. If we had melt blown fabric production lines those masks would've been made in au , idiotic considering we spent 200 mil bailing an airline to not own it but 4 .5 mill gets us the production of masks . You have to ask yourself where is the govt priorities???

Agree. Australia should have our own production, start from scratch. Our own materials, own design and standards.

Australia has become so reliant on other countries we cannot provide for ourselves. At the moment we are still able to access masks, PPE and medicines etc from other countries (when available) - but if this was a war, we would be doomed. Warning - make Australia self-sufficient.
