Great to speak with AUSMAT Team Leader on Christmas Island Dan Holmes, and AUSMAT Director Len Notaras, to confirm that a seven-year-old girl has tested negative to Coronavirus.
Many thanks to all involved in the second assisted departure from Wuhan, especially Qantas staff, our volunteers, DFAT officers and the AUSMAT team that supervised the flight. All passengers reported well after four rounds of testing with no symptoms of the virus.
A final round of testing is being conducted as they are received at the Howard Springs Quarantine facility. Great job ADF, NT, Border Force, AUSMAT and all involved.
