The MRFF is too niche, lacks clarity around selection of priority areas, and completely excludes fundamental research. It does not alleviate any of the
@nhmrc burden. While it benefits a few researchers, it does not support the broad research sector. Please increase nhmrc funding -
They have changed the research landscape - sadly not for the better. The MRFF should do what the name suggests, fund the future ie fundamental research to provide discoveries to change the future (the real future ie >10-20 years)
