From this, the Australian Government has committed $13m to help support global efforts in eliminating TB in the region - the world’s most common cause of death from a single infectious disease, and tenth most common cause of death worldwide.
Furthermore, an additional $6m commitment for chronic disease and preventative health - supporting specialist technical advisors for activities in the Pacific - childhood obesity and tobacco control measures.
