Medicare consultation items for Sport & Exercise Medicine physicians are still way lower than they were under the Howard government (cut in 2010 https://www.smh.com.au/business/medicare-rebate-cut-adds-insult-to-injury-20101116-17vw0.html …). Please accept the SCPCCC recommendation to give SEM physician MBS parity with other physicians

I just left private practice as a Diabetes NP- so the acute health care system can now deal with the 3 month fulltime booked out list of my patients that no longer have a Diabetes NP. 1 person dx every 5 mins with diabetes!! Primary hc is important and NPs are a valid solution

Why not have a RC into the medical industry to find out how it is that specialists can charge 400% on top of the scheduled fee - my experience charged $550 for a 15 minute appoint with neurosurgeon- my hbf rebate was $100.

I think tony did do an investigation into true costs of medical practice and it got shelved pretty quick once he realised that he was getting a bargain when he health minister. Rebates have been frozen since then.
