p.s psychotherapists train 4-8 years, they need to be incuded in the 40 session plan - clients deserve choice of therapist. 100+ people on my wait list plus turning people away because they can't claim medicare w me. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE!https://bit.ly/2usBH3w

I hope that psychotherapy is offered as well. Psychotherapy is incredibly effective for undertstanding the root causes in eating disorders and the relational experience with a psychotherapist trained in eating disorders is the "gold" to treatment. Choosing their own therapist!

and psychotherapy with actual psychotherapists. psychologists are not trained in psychotherapy, only CBT. this clients don't just need longevity, they need therapists who can actually hold client in deep suffering - not offered a sticky plaster fix = revolving door syndrome

@ToniJacksonHere unfortunately clients don't even realise they don't have a choice of therapy - EDs need deep soul work, not just medical model treatment where they are pathologised and seen as the 'sick one'.
