The largest private health reforms in a decade have led to the lowest premium change in 18 years. The average premium change for 2019, which will take effect on 1 April, will be 3.25 per cent - down over 40 per cent since Labor’s last year in office.
By comparison Labor’s proposal to rip the rebate from over 5 million lower cost policies will send prices skyrocketing by 16% .
This will directly impact seniors, young people and low income families.

Will this mean that more is covered. I have had 2 MRI’s, one on my brain and 1 on my knee. I’ve had too private health insurance for both and have been slugged for both too. Something needs to change.
True. Medicare says they’re an out patient service and prohibit private health funds to pay their member for them. Private Health can only pay if it’s an in patient service and only if Medicare gives the approval for it to be paid.
With all the services that Medicare does not cover now after 5 years of cuts on top of the constant rise each year of private insurance I don’t understand your comments costs are lower

Stop lying. Private Health Insurance Companies have had permission to sell policies that the public do not understand & that exclude important procedures. Also you are giving them permission to not cover a patient if they are readmitted to hospital within 28 days of discharge

I had private health all my life, but had to ditch in my early 40's only to find reentry too expensive. Biggest thing is gap payments.
