Fantastic initiative @GregHuntMP to reduce impact of hypoglycaemia in T1 diabetes. Will other genetic/metabolic conditions causing hypoglycaemia have same access?

Most diabetics won’t benefit from this change

What about those of us over 21 with diabetes for 20 plus years that could benefit from CGM??? We aren't necessarily asking for a fully funded product, we just want assistance to help get this product...

It should be based on clinical need not arbitrary grouping based on income or age

Greg - Why is the LNP making most T1Ds Australians pay for CGM when it is free in most of the Western world?

Do you go to bed at night not sure if you will wake up the next day or have a family under pressure to treat you when you can’t tell your going low? Then to ask them 2 go without nights out or cinema so that you can have a device that tells you if you are going low?

Thanks for your commitment to helping those with Type1. While this announcement won't help my son after next year when he is no longer a student and can't access a health care card, I'm really pleased that it is a step closer to CGM for all.

Was wonderful for Jack and I to meet with the Health Minister Greg Hunt today as he announced further funding for the diabetic community . Had a great chat with him about how much it has changed lives. Well done everyone in the diabetic community for all your hard work!
