Community mental health services (already under pressure from YEARS of cuts) & experienced staff have rapidly been drying up in my area since
#NDIS rollout began last Nov. Many benefits in principle of NDIS but the model just doesn’t quite fit for mental illness. Huge gap. -
I hope this funding lands where it’s most needed and can be best utilised to benefit those really struggling. Thoughtful rollout please
, not just election year throwing money around. Co-design with participants and services essential.
