Greg Hands - EU needs to treat UK with more respect in next round. Instil a sense of parity in these discussions as UK did with Scotland during devolution negotiations. UK needs to prepare itsel better for meetings than previously - put papers down - put UK case in writing.

Greg hands - chair of German/UK APPG - Britain and Germany are drifting apart. Our peoples are ceasing to know each other as well. We need a new treaty - like France/Germany Elysee treaty of 1963 - between UK and Germany to bind our countries from ground up - youth/culture/values

  12. Clear statement of intent from the Prime Minister in his speech this morning on the EU trade deal. As I said in my remarks at the German Embassy today, Brussels needs to treat UK as an equal partner in these talks. We can get it done!

Always a pleasure to talk Trade and UK-German relations. Here at the on a panel. My main points: both UK & EU support Free Trade at a time when it’s under attack. What message would it send if supporters of Free Trade can’t come to a Free Trade Agreement?

Good article and it’s also good to see returning to his Brexit pragmatism of the summer of 2016. Brexit has happened - we need to work on the future 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 relationship, starting right now.
