So, I have pretty thick skin when it comes to online harassment, but something has been really bothering me.

(2/4) Our teams spent the last few days conducting an in-depth review of the videos flagged to us, and while we found language that was clearly hurtful, the videos as posted don’t violate our policies. We’ve included more info below to explain this decision:

Sooooo small creators making things you don't like get they're channel demonetized or deleted but people with numbers who actually harass others are fine? Why do you have to make it so hard to love you YouTube, just why?

Who are you calling small creators? Vox has 6 million subscribers... by comparison
@scrowder is a small channel at 3.8 million. If anything this Vox punching down at a smaller independent channel.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

most definitely neither of these two channels, saw plenty of creators with subscribers counts on the thousand being denied monetization, or jump being plane deleted for apparently no reason. also 3.8 millions small? plus we're talking about racial and homophobic slurs here

The same words Carlos used to describe himself are used in these jokes. He refers to himself as gay and Latino and queer, the lispy part is a description of his speech and is not as bad as calling someone an “alt-right monster”. Free speech is free no matter if you like it or not

free speech is one thing, a platform blatantly lying about they're policies to protect someone who is harassing another creator is another. And there is a difference between making light of yourself and others calling you names. it's just like the n word.

So let me get this straight (no pun intended). Anyone who is not LGBTQ can no longer use the words that stand for the letters LGBTQ? Roughly 98% of the population can’t use these 5 words? How do we describe someone who happens to be attracted to the same sex?
