...it is. For four years it's federal money, then 85% federal money after, on a graduating scale until the max the state pays is 75%.

Like I said, ain't nothing free. The government has NO money until they take it from us, be it local, state or federal.

They're spending it either way, they'll either spend a ton per-patient subsidizing emergency room treatment, or a tiny bit on preventative treatment. But my health insurance in CA is $102 /month compared to the exact same plan in Texas being $510. So you do you.

Sorry, but the only way you have a plan, via insurance, at that rate is through tax payer subsidies. Let's look at a better alternative to health care. Atlas MD. No insurance. Direct dealing with the Dr. $10/mo for kids, $55-100/month for adults.https://www.bizjournals.com/wichita/news/2017/03/08/atlasmd-founder-featured-on-fox-news-program.html …

of course it's through subsidies. I have a condition that requires a daily cocktail of 6 medications for me to, you know, live. No free market approach would cover that, but ppl in Santa Monica and Orange County paying .4% more per year does.

Or... Texas could step up like Oregon to completely fund educators' healthcare premiums. This proactive step would help to reduce the amount of reactive insurance policies that step in a little too late.

Yes, sarcasm. If people want better health insurance coverage, then they should pay for it themselves. Just like everyone else in this world, if you dont like it then go somewhere else that offers it or pay for it yourself.
