Turns out the Texas maternal mortality rate spike scare was grossly exaggerated. Analysis shows actual rate was far less than half of the exaggerated report. Nevertheless, Texas remains committed to lowering it even more. #txlegehttps://www.statesman.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/study-texas-maternal-mortality-rate-wasn-high-was-thought/kpnZnomMkrM0joMiKmcYeP/ …

The data was manipulated. Unfortunate that fact has to be explained to texas govenor...but that is EXACTLY what the nation expects from the historically ignorant and selfish leadership of the state. #texansdeservebetter

Much more could and should be done. Healthcare for women should not just cover when your pregnant. There should be more access to total women's health overall, especially for those who cannot afford health insurance. All Texans deserve the right to affordable healthcare.

Access to healthcare isnt a right. You can't just make up constitutional rights.

Funny how folks will fight for rights that aren't a given but lay down when actual rights under our constitution are attacked.

What rights are being attacked? Why are you making this specific tweet about something hateful?

As long as the government is involved nothing is affordable. Car insurance wasn't very affordable back in the day, but through competition I can now get insured for $40. The free market not government could make health insurance affordable for all Texans.

The free market had a chance, but were still not offering the best policies. Also denied coverage for people with pre conditions. My family is one of those. My teen son was denied for anything related to ears, nose and throat because he had tubes in his ears as a baby.

So you want me and the rest of the American taxpayers to pay for your son's health care??

No, just asking for it to be fair. By the way my previous insurance company was paying for these, but once insurance changed to private insurance they did not want to cover as they said it was a pre existing condition.
