I joined with @KenPaxtonTx to request that churches get same FEMA disaster-relief funding as secular non-profits.https://www.texastribune.org/2017/09/20/abbott-paxton-request-fema-funding-after-harvey-churches/ …

How much are you getting from Osteen to push this? He wants to get money for his private jet and mansions after being guilted into charity.

If churches are exempt from taxes and not held to the same policies as secular non-profits, they don't deserve the same benefits.

Nope. I graduated with a degree in government after being raised Baptist and can realize what's right and wrong regardless of religion.

Which secular non-profits are getting money? Also a non-profit is a whooooole different type of entity than a church. So I'm a no on this.

That's nice but churches are called to help without looking for compensation

They pay no taxes. Their parishioners should pay for relief. That’s how churches are supposed to work. Talk about free ride on taxpayers!

That's not how taxes work. If you want to know where your tithe goes, talk to your church. Our taxes have no business going to churches.
