Boy, bye. Their fight was a rebellion against Mexico for abolishing slavery. They wanted to break away from Mexico and continue to practice slavery in the Republic of Texas.

Actually, despite the laws against it, slavery was tolerated by the Mexican government. The Texas revolution was about the rollback of constitutional guarantees by Santa Anna.

My God, if you have a true Texan bone in you're body, you will vote for this hard-fighting Patriot! Vote RED to save Texas from becoming California!!
-
He’s not a patriot. He believes in state control. He is anti-liberty. He used lawsuit to recover millions then eliminated that for anyone else. He is dishonest and a political bully. Would not vote for Abbot if he were the only person on the ballot (which is what GOP wants)!

VERY proud my 3x GG, RH (Richard) Chisholm, was unsung hero in TXRev - then his son, Thornton Chisholm, set out 4/1/1866 driving cattle north. Cousins & Grands Chisholm/Taylors battled thru Reconstruction post Civil War. Every gen fights for liberty - even today

Texians?
-
Yeah. Learn some history. Texians. That’s what they were called then

-
If you'd be a tad less condescending and more open to just spreading knowledge like the other tweet I got, I would've been a lot more grateful to learn something new from you
-
Well. I don’t need your gratitude. Don’t know why you think I do.

You mean like the freedom of local control (stolen by the GOP majority), or the freedom to have our votes count equally (stolen by GOP gerrymandering, or freedom of women to control their bodies (stolen by the GOP legislature and courts), etc.
-
Would you like some cheese with that whine?
-
Especially since gerrymandering has been practiced by both parties when it began in Massachusetts in 1812.
