I hope Beto is not in charge of any response.

Beto did vote in favor of the main relief bill (HR 569), and only voted against the tax break bill (HR 3823) because 1: smaller tax breaks than Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma (not Sandy) and 2: no funding for soon-to-expire CHIP and CHChttps://www.texastribune.org/2018/08/29/beto-orourke-ted-cruz-attack-ad-harvey-hurricane/ …

Yeah, he never gets anything right the first time. Remember his sit in at Congress for gun control? Now he’s all about gun rights. Why won’t he debate Cruz? Can’t he find the right dress to wear?

This governor never called a special session in regards to hurricane relief, so what the hell does he care?

Be safe Gulf of Mexico coastlines... often a “tropical storm” is more damaging than a full on Hurricane

I appreciate the weather updates on Abbott’s Sunday afternoon. Living inland I ready my home to accept those in need during natural disasters. Thanks for the heads up Abbott will get extra supplies now to avoid the chaos.

The Governor declares a State of Emergency when he/she believes a disaster has occurred or may be imminent. Not all watch local news and it is the governors responsibility to relay information of possible natural disasters for people to prepare. Thank you governor

Tropical storms including Gordon, can be very dangerous. All should be prepared at all times during hurricane season many are not. Abbott said yesterday The State of Texas is “monitoring” this weather system and is preparing to take all precautions and actions “as necessary”

Weatherman? He shared an update from the weather channel he didn’t predict the weather. Travelers headed home to Texas may appreciate the tropical storm update. Abbott again I appreciate you keeping us informed to potential dangers.
