Gov, I am tired of race playing a factor in everything Law Enforcement does. If this officer shot & killed a white teen in the car would you have said “White Texas police officer found guilty of murder for fatally shooting white teen in car”? PLEASE answer!

If we lived in a paradigm wherein history and context didn’t impact the present your comment would make so much sense — but that’s not our reality. “The blacks” whose concerns you’re exhausted with, are the progeny of slaves - of people who lived under Jim Crow. That matters.
-
When laid side-by-side with the facts, not delusions, with history, and in proper context; your egalitarian pleading looks rather silly, like some desperate colorblind attempt to minimize dissimilar pain.
-
The "I don't see race" brigade often comes out when it doesn't suit whatever narrative they are trying to push and rears its head when it does suit the narrative. I have great respect for law enforcement, but you picked a dangerous job and have to be held accountable for murder.

They saw it for 300+ years, but somehow after 64’ they claim not to see it; or have heard of it, know it’s whereabouts, or even care much about it — of course sometimes it magically jumps out at them when a crime involving blacks happen — oh, then they come w/ their “race” stats.

They see what they want to see!

I just have to ask, why did you have to mention the obvious, the police officers race? And then you go and mention the race of the one he shot. This does not help settle the tensions between the two. Its enough that it happened.

Because he wants us to believe he's not racist, despite race-based voter-suppresion efforts by his party, the RATE of Black incarceration, the RATE of Black wrongful conviction, the fact that White victims' offenders are punished more harshly than non-white, esp on Death Row.

I'm glad this was mentioned because is the worst as far as gerrymandering goes. Do you remember Tom Delay?

Hot Tub Tom? Who unplugged his own daddy but ran back to DC in the middle of the night to cry for Terri Schiavo against her husband's wishes and medical science? I think so...

Something we can agree on. Now maybe address the issue of police bias/violence against African-Americans.
-
It's not true.... Where are your facts about "Police bias towards African Americans"? Or are you just going by what you see on social media and the news? Read actual FBI statistics and make an educated statement....
-
It’s not true??!! Dude...wake up. Read the news, actual reporting. It is very much true.
