Is this how you prove your patriotism? All the while working to enact and support policy that the majority of Texans oppose? We see through you, Greg.

Governor Abbott, I love you! I just moved from California and am so proud to be a Texan. Just registered to vote so I can vote for you....
-
You should remember what California did to property values...Texas GOP is doing the exact same: Before anyone says it’s the county, read this article:https://www.star-telegram.com/opinion/opn-columns-blogs/bud-kennedy/article199523554.html …

The only people who says this are Americans. I’m English and I love my country, but I’m too aware of world history to claim England is ‘better’ or ‘the best’. Americans have SO MUCH to be proud of, but c’mon, you’re not ‘the best’.
-
Sure we are. Always have been.
-
Okay why?
-
Obviously have its challenges, but I think big picture, the American experiment is a testament to something pretty amazing, eh?
-
I generally agree. Most modern democracies developed from within. Monarchies or powerful aristocracies ceding power little by little, but America is one of the greatest examples of people specifically setting up a new country so they can be free.
-
And then you go and elect... *shudders*... him...
-
But I didn't vote for either one. My conscience is clear.

By what measure?
-
Number of free people, people liberated or defended worldwide, economic prosperity, pop culture, science and technology, and a few others. This is not to say other countries do not have significant contributions of their own, but as a general statement, I think this true.
-
Not according to the stats. US isn't #1 in ANYTHING, let alone everything. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_rankings_of_the_United_States …
-
Whatever you say, Matt. It is not an issue worth arguing.
-
I think we should all agree it's not worth arguing about, not worth tweeting, and not true.
