He was not governor when that happened. You’re thinking of Perry.
-
He had zero input. The was AG during that time. The AG has no legal standing in legislative affairs except to either defend it or if asked to give opinions, after its law. He may like the law but he had no more to do with it than me.
-
Abbot lobbies for this, Abbott claims that caps are needed to keep healthcare costs in check, of course only after he got his millions.
-
He has said that, yes. But he had zero to do with the passing of that law. I was there in the capital when it was debated in the House. It was setup from word go. But Abbott was AG, not governor or a legislator.
-
I never said that. This entire mess is a typical online emotional fuster cluck. I was answering that GA was not governor when med map reform happened. For my personal view, I was for it then but find it to be a HUGE error.
-
I will be the first one to admit I get emotional! lol because I love Texas! Lots of roots ya know? I’m glad your feeling on the matter have changed.

-
Grackle is going to hate even if abbot got $0. How could anyone not love this comeback story? Oh yea dems & libs hate this because they disagree with his politics

So, Greg, guess you’re against lawsuit reform, right? You got, what, 10M?
-
So Beeve, are we to assume that you would never seek damages for any harm done to you?
-
No, the governor ‘got his’ and then pushed lawsuit reform so that others would not have the same opportunity he had. Typical of Abbot and his like.
-
What specifically did Greg do I terms of limiting lawsuits? This is a serious question, not a troll. I’d like to see the bill numbers if possible.
-
He pushed for tort reform to limit awards for lawsuits exactly like his own. Here's a
@TexasTribune article that outlines the situation. Draw your own conclusionshttps://www.texastribune.org/2013/08/04/candidate-faces-questions-turnabout-and-fair-play/ … -
Again, the question was raised because someone said he passed tort reform. My entire reply has been based on that. It is true that he’s a tort reformist and that can be troubling in his case.

This happened 34 yrs ago !!!
-
Right, but today he sucks even more
