Selecting the next #SCOTUS Justice is a monumental moment in modern constitutional history. We need a brilliant, conservative Justice devoted to the Constitution. I agree with @SenTedCruz that @SenMikeLee would be a superb selection & should be swiftly confirmed. #TCOT #txlegehttps://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1012074208568971265 …

I think the single best choice President @realDonaldTrump could make to fill this vacancy is @SenMikeLee. He would be extraordinary. #SCOTUS pic.twitter.com/E2wmFSRH55

The voters weigh in by voting for the President who chooses the Justice and your elected officials who approve the choice.

Trump lost the popular vote though soooo clearly this logic as well as the system itself is broken

That's why we have the electoral college. Large populated areas cannot continually control who is elected president.

So the majority of voters should not decide the vote? Rural voters are given way too much weight in elections.

The states decide. The states decide who the president will be. Rural voters have a voice just like metropolitan voters. That's the constitutional process.

With the EC the rural voters are getting an exaggerated voice. One Person, One Vote. Majority Rules. That's were we are going. Sick and Tired of the tail wagging the dog in the USA.

The states that were critical in electing Obama voted for Trump. They didn't want Hillary. Instead of changing the constitution, which will never happen, put forth a better candidate worthy of beating Trump. You are blaming the EC when you should be blaming the DNC's candidate.

If he's been a Senator for half his life, he is not even a good candidate for Supreme Court Justice. You know he's just like the rest of them. Been on the government teat long enough. No more bought and paid for politicians. I vote for @KrisAnneHall KrisAnne Hall, JD!
