And what does Heller vs DC have to say in regards to requiring firearms be kept locked up or disabled in the home?

Hint: "t struck down as unconstitutional provisions of a D.C. law that ... (2) required lawfully owned firearms to be kept unloaded, disassembled, or locked when not located at a business place or being used for lawful recreational activities"

This penal code should be MUCH stricter. Adults should be liable for keeping ANY kind of weapons accessible to children. Think people!!!

Vicki, your intentions are good.. But you don't understand gun safes. An affordable gun safe can't stop the common power tools found in a home. A 14-17 yr old sociopath won't be stopped by a safe. Trigger locks only work for grade school kids.

so let’s just do nothing. keeping kids safe is too hard and guns are way more precious anyways.
-
You'll accomplish far more by keeping violent felons in prison than mandating laws that are a joke. Did you know that teenagers today are a lot safer from gun violence than any time in last 50+ years. Despite the media parading the rare copycat killer around, it's true.pic.twitter.com/KVx2Q5tQbz

Why not just answer the question?

Probably because it’s a lot more than 280 characters. I literally just entered his answer into a search engine and found it.pic.twitter.com/LtzoTui1XP

Maybe he didn't want to point out it was only a misdemeanor if your kid uses your guns to kill other people.

Is there any law against RIPPING children from their mothers arms? Is there any law against denying children healthcare? Is there any law against denying women proper healthcare? Is there any?

@GregAbbott_TX The Texas Penal Code section 46.13 should be a lot stricter!! “a maximum possible fine under Texas state law of up to $4,000 and jail time of up to one year” is not enough if a life is taken by their child! -
You do realize the perpetrator (“their child”) is subject to multiple counts of murder and Possible death. Do the crime; you do the time!
-
Could’ve been prevented in the first place if it was locked appropriately!
-
No evidence to that effect. But same could be said for stolen cares that get used in crime. Still not victims fault if they did everything reasonable. And when locked-up, how do you defend yourself?

Locking up guns is about as effective as locking up your car. How many cars are stolen or illegally entered every year?
