That doesn't help Greg, you're just making it harder for students to get to the closest exit, funneling everyone through tighter spots. The real issue is guns and you've failed to tackle that issue. You officially suck at your job with this awful idea.

Travis county built a housing unit that hold 1300 inmates for 70 mil in '09, and it barely functions. Even if your budget was double that, it wouldn't be enough. You would need billions to change every school in Texas and that would take at least a decade to accomplish, or longer
-
Or you could just change gun laws to be more progressive at tackling these types of issues. I'm sure that would be much cheaper and it saves loads of time on pandering to parents who lost their children in a future incident that could have easily been averted.
-
More gun laws like Chicago?
-
No. More gun laws like Japan.
-
And if you're a real gun enthusiast, it'll feel more like a field day than a burden.

Know what else expands mental health treatment? Expanding Medicaid, so folks can afford to receive treatment from professional therapists, rather than asking overworked, underpaid teachers to add "Trauma Therapist" to their already cluttered job descriptions.

My child goes to a school with ONE entrance (all other doors are locked-can go out, but not in). An *amazing* man greets every student and visitor at the entrance. We love him and are thankful he’s armed. (Concealed carry). Thank you Governor Abbott! -Fort Worth, Texas

Not too long ago you threatened reporters while holding a rifle; will you be banned from carrying a weapon until your mental health is checked?

Consider making the BluePoint Alert Police Alert System mandatory in your schools. Enhanced communication with the police and immediate situational awareness in a crisis situation is our #1 priority.

In reading your proposals I noticed that there isn’t any proposal for the State to offer death benefits to staff who lose their life in the line of service such as Law Enforcement and Corrections staff have. The proposals ask us to volunteer for similar hazards, please advise.

No red flag law? No prosecution of careless gun owners whose guns cause this carnage? Come on now, you can and must do better than this! Say no to the NRA.
