It couldn’t be simpler... Arm veterans, train them for school situations, and then announce to the children that these men or women are here, and state their purpose... Laws take too long take effect, it’s summer, 3 months until next year! Children respond to understandings!!!

...and pass common sense gun control legislation.
-
This IS NOT a gun control issue! Look at country’s that have the strictest policies on weapons.... still crimes w/ banned weapons! There needs to be people in place to stop those who wish to do harm.... policies don’t stop anything except solutions.
-
I respectfully disagree. Common sense gun laws, along with making schools safer, is the solution.
-
I would love it if that were the case. I don’t know about where you’re from/live but our local and state politicians are vehemently against any form of weapons and don’t want to listen to anything or anyone unless it starts with hard gun control/bans

Why don't you start by passing a law making parents criminally liable when their kids use either the parents guns or guns the parents purchased for their kids in violent crimes, accidental shootings, etc. Put the responsibility back on the parents.
-
Parents should be held responsible, but that is not enough of a deterrent. It is a reactive response, not proactive.
-
Notice the word "start" in my tweet. I agree with you it won't be enough, but perhaps if the parents of troubled teens knew they could do some time for not securing their guns/ keeping guns away from their teens we could save a few lives.

I'm for armed guards, but what about adding those silent alarms for teachers that bank tellers use for robberies?

How about welcoming God back into our school system? Perhaps starting the day with prayer, then the pledge of allegiance? Maybe posting the Ten Commandments around campus?
-
Honest question, how is religion an answer to children being murdered?
-
That's a good question Justin my answer is this (love and foundation never hurts anyone) god is love..
-
I agree, but love can be had without some sort of religion. Religion has nothing to do with figuring out how to stop children from being murdered at school.
-
Why do you think private schools are safe & most kids don’t bully each other.....? Bring back religion to the class-room.
-
That's a joke. Religion is not the answer.
-
No one is stating a specific religion. Just country and Faith back in the class rooms could help. Again foundation is important.
-
Foundation of what? Foundation of faith in a "higher power" isn't going to stop someone from shooting people. Historically religion is a reason people kill, not a reason they don't. I believe in love and teaching love is good. Not incorporating religion into peoples lives.
