There is a vision of VR as a sort of direct transfer of experience without the flawed intermediary of the symbol in the early , especially. Famously in Case's ability to share Molly's sensorium in Neuromancer, but perhaps most clearly in "The Winter Market"...

Their names were Staff Sgt. Christopher K.A. Slutman, Cpl. Robert Hendriks, and Sgt. Benjamin S. Hines. Their families deserve to know if the Russians had anything to do with their deaths, or any other US servicemembers. And interviewers should at the very least ask about it.

“we gave less money to the entire child care sector than we gave to one single airline, Delta. I don’t mean to pick on Delta, but it seems crazy that we care more about saving Delta Airlines than we do about the entire child care industry.”

This is George Roberts of Circle R Ranch. He loves his family & his farm. It has been in his family for 3 generations. But because banks & the government refuse to lend him money he needs our help to keep his farm. Support his GoFundMe!

"I’m unfortunately taking on the task of trying to write fiction about the real implications of technology like that. It’s an incredibly stupid, foolhardy thing to do." It's very rude of you to say something so relatable, :

Contra Sen. Cotton, slavery was neither a "necessary" evil nor destined for "ultimate extinction." Slavery was a choice defended or accepted by most white Americans for generations, and it expanded dramatically between the Revolution and the Civil War.

A reminder that Korryn Gaines was chilling at home. The police tried to break in to "execute" a traffic ticket warrant. Instead, they executed Korryn and shot her 5-year old son. An all-woman jury awarded her family $37 million. But the racist judge overruled them.

Wait, if Cotton thinks slavery was essential in creating American society, the sine qua non without which America would not be America, then isn't he agreeing with the 1619 project?

Our society apparently isn't even able to end fossil fuel subsidies - a mind-numbingly obvious thing to do - let alone phase out fossil fuels. This should be deeply disturbing to anyone who isn't a fossil fuel CEO.
