Beginning later today / tomorrow, the GrapheneOS Beta channel will start being used to test releases targeting Android 10 rather than 9. Releases will be tested before being pushed out as always, but there will be known issues / limitations with these early Beta channel releases.
Consider switching back from the Beta channel to the Stable channel in the update settings if you've changed this and don't want to deal with these problems. You should expect issues if you stick to the Beta channel, but the project does need people to use the channel to test it.
is it possible to later switch from beta to release channel without losing data?
You simply need to change the release channel from Beta to Stable. It's the same OS and updates between the channels are fully compatible with each other. Changing channels doesn't involve any data loss. It only changes the channel where the update client uses to obtain updates.
