I remember that timeframe. Remember Sin, as well? And Quake 2 wasn’t far ahead of that, being released I believe in late 1997.
What a year 1998 was in gaming - Fallout 2, Half-Life, Grim Fandango, AND StarCraft all released. Surely all those games would make any top 100 of all time list?

Also Starsiege Tribes. This game did a lot of the things in shooters that Battlefield gets credit for. But yea 1998 was great.
