Yeah, I totally get that. We also talk gratitude all the time but so hard to really get it. My daughter struggles to think of something her grandmas can buy her for her birthday.

I grew up dirt poor on a farm. Never knowing if this season we'd go bankrupt. Sending your kids to do a few chores for a few weeks of summer vacation ain't anywhere near the same experience.

A couple weeks on a farm could be a cool experience in rural living. Livestock, tractors, small towns, & whatnot that city slickers don't understand. But that's far different from experiencing poverty.
