Begin Rant:
It is unacceptable to have more than 30 unread emails in your inbox when you can just swipe to delete (or better yet, just mute) spam and swipe to archive saved communications. It's 2017, email has been mainstream for 2 decades people!
End Rant.

Eek! I manage 4 outlook accounts and start to get anxiety when there are 50 unfiled emails, let alone unread ones. Not that I read them all when they come in, I just delete all the junk right away.

I delete the junk stuff when it comes in. But there's a lot of stuff I need to keep but I know what it says

Part of that is laziness using preview in chains to ignore all the "thanks" and "agree" crap. Part is being copied on a bazillion emails as a lawyer.

Yeah, I just mark the chatter as read and insta-drag those into subfolders. I kinda hate the chatter. The important stuff I "flag" and leave in my inbox. They turn darcker shades of red as time passes.
