The poker community, in CA and elsewhere, is smart and educated. How long before a movement forms to protest rigid intrastate ring-fencing?

@AgentMarco Yeah, the smart & educated poker community has been quite successful in pushing through federal & state poker legislation.

@Grange95 @AgentMarco I would estimate the chances of said movement forming at somewhere close to Bitar getting re-hired at Tilt.

@OPReport @Grange95 You are being too cocky. I can easily see the subject becoming common table talk at cardrooms. Culture too strong.

@AgentMarco @Grange95 I guess I'd ask for an past example of a coherent, efficacious advocacy movement formed by poker players.

@OPReport @Grange95 Unrealistic. Poker advocacy movement is very young post-BF but has already acquired solid civic literacy & shown growth.

@AgentMarco @Grange95 Odd that your starting point is Black Friday and not UIGEA or the roughly decade before that online poker existed.

@OPReport @Grange95 UIGEA did not take online poker away almost completely so players did not begin caring a lot until BF. Understandable.

@AgentMarco @OPReport Millions of Americans would like to play poker online. Hundreds of them are politically motivated by the issue.

@Grange95 @OPReport Let's stay on topic: Cali. First years probably great but decent chance of stagnation coupled with player unrest.

@AgentMarco @OPReport OK. Millions of Californians will play online poker. Dozens will protest over lack of interstate games.
