1/? Weird poker rules/etiquette situation @MiragePoker yesterday. Let’s do a thread. Our cast:
“Grumpy”: Obnoxious older man (not me) whose comments drove 3 players from the game. Also, cut off from drinks.
“Happy”: New player (also not me), been recipient of Grumpy’s comments.
3/ Floor ruled Grumpy is all-in. Grumpy has ~$450. Folds to Happy who goes all-in for $300. If you’re in Happy’s shoes, do you let Grumpy off the hook?

4/ Happy offers to let Grumpy off the hook for $150. If you’re in Grumpy’s shoes, do you accept?

5/ Grumpy turns down a $150 buyout, after trying to counteroffer at $100. Floor tells Grumpy he has to put $300 in the pot or he’ll be banned from the Mirage poker room and likely all MGM properties. If you’re in Grumpy’s shoes, do you pay the $300?

6/6 Grumpy refused to pay, cashed out, and got to meet a couple of Mirage security officers as he left the poker room. Mirage poker room manager handled the whole situation calmly and professionally. Just a really weird and awkward situation.

To be fair, in true poker fashion the correct answer to this question is "it depends"
