Founding Fathers envisioned simple majority rule. Filibuster’s “long history” really didn’t start until after WWII. It’s use has accelerated every decade from 1970s to date. It’s kept both parties from enacting legislation the voters elected them to pass.

Fair enough. It’s probably going to happen anyway whether I like it or not. But I think the result will be to further degrade any last lingering vestiges of partisanship. It’s already bad enough that a SCOTUS seat can now be filled with 51 votes.
