I just disagree. It’s a procedure with a long history that provides sometimes the only tool the minority party has. And I find the continued willingness to dispose of norms to be alarming. The Senate is the deliberative chamber. It’s supposed to be difficult, unlike the House.

Founding Fathers envisioned simple majority rule. Filibuster’s “long history” really didn’t start until after WWII. It’s use has accelerated every decade from 1970s to date. It’s kept both parties from enacting legislation the voters elected them to pass.
