I know little about Dan Crenshaw, but if the claim is conservative Republican = white supremacist it’s a terrible one, one that makes it harder to purge people like Steve King—an actual white supremacist—from politics. Why should Republicans listen to us if we brand them all?https://twitter.com/SeanMcElwee/status/1061647682521980928 …

Did he moderate white nationalist forum boards as Sean claims? If so I don’t think it’s a stretch to say he is a white nationalist at all

Like I said, I know little about him, but I assume if that’s true it would’ve come out in the profiles of him that have been done & been national news. But it’s why I qualified my claim.

I read it. There is an admission openly said in sports journalism, “I root for the story.” I suspect political journalists are the same. A detail like that might knock the wind out of the story a bit. I tried googling it and haven’t found any reporting on the forum board

In my experience Sean typically is able to back up what he says, but who knows maybe he is wrong this time

I think it’s a bit suspect only in that we have no idea what administered means in this context. Did he lend his name to something & pay no attention? Did he edit things? That’s a sign of bad judgment, not white supremacy.

He posted campaign videos to the page, claims not to have done anything else. Hard to say. But “bad judgment” seems a little light for actively campaigning to the alt-right. https://www.newsweek.com/republican-candidates-racist-far-right-facebook-1099744 …
