The heat continues. If you're lucky Mother Nature will provide some welcome relief in the form of a stray afternoon/evening storm. Gusty winds to 50 mph and local downpours are possible. As for the heat, keep plenty of water handy and follow heat safety rules.

Happy from Grand Canyon National Park. On June 14, 1777 the Continental Congress adopted Betsy Ross's flag design, known as the Stars & Stripes, to become our flag. In 1949, President Harry Truman signed the legislation that made it a national day.

"It's going to get hot", an understatement. It's going to get very hot, viscously hot, dangerously hot. Be smart over the coming days, check on your elderly neighbors, be mindful of where your children and pets are, avoid strenuous outdoor activity. STAY COOL ARIZONA!
