Pretty irritated regarding not only the changes, but also the amount of transparency, and the company’s overall TONE in their communication of the changes.

Yes, it basically makes the patron pay 30% more PER PLEDGE. To cover CC fees, I guess? I was fine paying that.

Wait... 30% to cover credit card fees? I worked in the payment card industry for 8 years... An ASTRONOMICAL ripoff of a CC % charge rate is 4% of the transaction $ amount. How are they justifying a 30% increase?

Same. :( I'm already struggling so much, I don't want to give up support completely.

Lower amount patrons are seeing a massive increase. It lowers as it goes up, a $20 patron sees only a 4% increase, but I'm not sure people are swimming in $20+ patrons.

It makes no sense, especially since many people on Patreon help multiple creators.
Now, instead of Patreon taking a fee when they take their entire month's payments out and the creators covering a portion of that fee, they take a fee per each pledge.
Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed.

Yeah, ditto. I was happily covering it so that my Patrons were paying what they wanted to pay.

One sources says its an increase from (2.9% +$0.30) to 5%. right?

Nope. It's an increase on the patron side from 0% to 2.9%+.35 /per pledge/, and capping the Patreon cut of that increased amount at 5% so that the creator now always gets 95% of the new higher value instead of the 85-95% that they could get depending on CC fees.
