Apart from spurious claim that private enterprise is always more efficient than the public service, has anyone put forward any good reason for us to privatise our visa service apart from enriching cronies?

Been Labor policy for 2 years. Passed by the senate, blocked by the government. Only way to get one is to change the government.

Morrison keeps saying the minister had the authority to make the decisions. ANAO: "In the absence of a section 11 direction, there was no legal authority evident to the ANAO under which the minister was able to be the approver of CSIG program grants"

Morrison and his Ministers continue false claims they provided all funding sought for water bombing aircraft. Here’s the request (December 2017) for permanent funding increase for planes. Still not granted by Govt, just one off funding when it’s all too late.

Sorry, the program did NOT give total authority to the minister to make decisions. The ANAO queried whether the minister had legal authority to be the decision maker. Health queried that. Sport Australia queried that. Saying something does not make it true

The once great National Party celebrates its 100th year by having all Senate questions answered by Liberals. Never weaker.

I just asked the PM whether he regrets launching a political ad on a catastrophic day at the height of the bushfire crisis, using Defence imagery, a jingle and a link to a Liberal Party donation button. Spoiler alert: he doesn’t.

Josh Frydenberg quoting the RBA gov in , but misses another point... "Strong fundamentals can take us only so far. If we are to turn these fundamentals into strong and consistent growth, we need to keep investing in our future"

You don’t get to “draw a line” under something just because you decide it’s over. The sports rorts scandal goes to the very top of this Government. It must be investigated.

If you stole almost half a million dollars from a bank, you'd go to jail - but if you're pickpocketing your workers pay, a different rule applies. The Government needs to focus on the wage theft crisis, not tearing workers down.

According to the FCAI, Australians bought 71,731 new cars in January. That's the worst January result since 2001 - there were about 20m people in the country then. Now its 25.5m...

Shade 🌳 bike lanes 🚴 and making it easier for cafes and restaurants. Just a few of the many ways that Labor is putting residents first.

This clip says a lot about the Nationals. Merely accepting climate change is man made would damage you inside the Nationals caucus. Barnaby’s pitch for the leadership was basically that he would be a more effective climate sceptic than McCormack is.

Funny, Meals on Wheels is at the point of collapse because the government won't fund aged care services to the same level as NDIS... so then what?!

Exactly. As if he couldn’t just ring his Liberal Collegue NSW Premier and say “Hey, this is serious Gladys, just ask the C’Wealth for support”.. But he didn’t do that, he went to Hawaii.

Coronavirus: I wrote to the Prime Minister urging him to enact the same funding arrangements used to face any natural disaster under Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements. The Prime Minister has turned down my request.
