https://twitter.com/i/moments/955973247182483456 … On March 15, 2016, Anschutz—a longtime friend of Neil Gorsuch—gave $500,000 to McConnell-affiliated Senate Leadership Fund. Exactly one day later, Mitch McConnell publicly stated that Garland’s nomination would receive no consideration from the Senate.

Team Ryan received $150,000 from Philip Anschutz on March 16, 2016; the day Paul Ryan spoke in solidarity with Mitch McConnell against Garland’s nomination.

https://twitter.com/ex67t20/status/1022699437754343424?s=21 … Anschutz also dropped $250,000 into Mcconnell-affiliated Senate Leadership Fund in December 2017—weeks before McConnell’s wife, a longtime Federalist Society advisor and Heritage Foundation Distinguished Fellow, met with Gorsuch for a private dinner...

Those who are comfortable with funding Anschutz’s ventures because he “stopped donating to anti-LGBT groups” overlook something very important: The damage that Gorsuch and Kavanaugh can do to the LGBT community—and to America as a whole—has the potential to be far worse.
-
https://twitter.com/ex67t20/status/1030073902712729600?s=21 … Also noteworthy: In July, when John Cornyn stood next to The Federalist Society’s Leonard Leo and spoke of overhauling the federal courts, he was standing on Philip Anschutz’s property.

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/3517036-Anschutz-recommends-Gorsuch.html … Although Gorsuch wasn’t under consideration, a letter from Anschutz to Harriet Miers put him on the 10th Circuit. A reasonable person might view Anschutz’s $500,000 to a McConnell Leadership PAC—one day before McConnell shut down Garland—with suspicion.pic.twitter.com/1cbdRd6Upg

I won't be attending this year as I've just read that your owner, Philip Anschutz, supports the Republican Party (to the tune of $1.1 Million), which is in direct contradiction to the values of the artists. (TBF, I haven't come in the past, so I doubt this will break the deal)

Jesus. So now people can't go to a music festival with artists they enjoy because of the political leanings of the organizer? Get a grip

I think politics were always supposed to be this extreme. We all got caught up in comfort because we trained oursleves to not speak about politics and religion in public because its not polite conversation. Things change.
-
Thanks for the reply. So politics is a battle that needs clearly defined winners and losers by any means necessary? Regardless of the consequences on civil liberties and personal freedoms? I'll oppose that my entire life
-
I'm with you on civil liberties and personal freedoms should be protected and to me boycotting is a tool to be used by both liberty and freedom. As far as winners and losers that is to be left up to majority rule imo
