Systemic racism is subtle and invisible unless we name them. Historic preservation of single family neighborhoods today is akin to the redlining of yesterday. “Protecting” white enclaves of single family housing means that new bungalow courts and row houses will be less possible.

How about preserving the historical practice of partitioning under-utilized single family homes into boarding houses and apartments? Has a much longer history than single-family zoning. Write it into historic district - must allow multifamily uses of SFH that were common pre-War.
