Looked like it was only a very small delay, think you have to give the fighter the benefit of the doubt in that situation.

He deserves to be DQ'd but if I was the guy who "won" I wouldn't be celebrating that win.

It doesn't matter which sport it is, you never put your hands on a referee. That lapse in judgement is going to cost him more than just a match. He may get fined and/or suspended. Not to mention that he's going to be known for this incident and not his won/loss record.
