Deputy Zackari Parrish paid the ultimate sacrifice. Let’s honor him by passing the Zackari Parrish III Violence Prevention Act. #HB1436 would have prevented this tragedy. It is a common sense approach to keep people and law enforcement safe. #coleg

My concern is for those that we will send into harm’s way; an incredibly hostile situation with the aim of disarming a citizen that they know is mentally unstable but not “dangerous” enough to be placed on a hold. I don’t have the answers, but I fear for the police.

Too many questions. What's constitutes a "mental health episode"? Will the judges be trained in mental health? How does one get his/her gun back? Who can petition the court? Any family member or just certain ones? Yeah, I see no issues here.

So read the bill rather than opposing it based on your ignorance.
