Today we announced the release of the Colorado Electric Vehicle (EV) Plan! This plan is a roadmap to build out a fast-charging network, giving Coloradans the ability to travel anywhere in the state in an EV! #COSpirit #ElectricVehicles https://www.colorado.gov/governor/sites/default/files/colorado_electric_vehicle_plan_-_january_2018.pdf …pic.twitter.com/R7p59XyTHG

The electric cars will probably run out of charge in traffic since our policymakers refuse to invest in roads. Please LEAD and actually get it done this year instead of playing national politics. Focus on Colorado. #coleg @COSenDem @ColoSenGOP @COHouseGOP @COHouseDem

Just to be clear, EVs don't really use any significant amount of energy when idling (i.e. in traffic) - unlike gas cars, energy is only used when the motor is turning the wheels, and it doesn't keep churning away while stopped. In fact, city driving in an EV is more efficient.

Thanks. I was being too cute by half, but the point still remains that we need LEADERSHIP to fix our transportation problems.

Yay more EVs & more oil and gas fracking wells. Fracked oil and gas are significant contributors to climate change; you can't on the one hand continue to release emissions from your wells Hick and claim the adv of zero emission vehicles #greenwash #copolitics

Pure ignorance. Electric cars are still powered by coal and oil power plants. You have kicked the can and achieved nothing.

Even on coal, electric cars are still cleaner than all-gas cars. https://www.afdc.energy.gov/vehicles/electric_emissions.php …pic.twitter.com/bqV6mnFOYL
