Exactly the first thought that came into my head. He should be setting a date for the end of fossil fuel extraction in Colorado.
-
Exactly, Tom. How about reworking COGCC to CO Energy Conservation Commission? Make renewables a priority. Leave a legacy
@GovofCO that makes you proud.

Thank you
@GovofCO for your swift response to this short sighted federal action. Coloradans do not want the return of the dreaded brown cloud.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Agree with this, but good grief, your lack of concern for the destruction of our air and water due to
#fracking is disgusting.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Well, you letting the COGCC frack the hell out of beautiful State, is not helping our water availability or our air quality. Uphold the Martinez Ruling. Transparency in Broomfield now!

#ditchtheDitch then! How much will the air quality be affected by more construction, digging up superfund sites & hauling the contaminated soil across the state? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@GovofCO began the process of signing onto the CA waiver to avoid this sort of harmful, short-sighted rollback! Too bad this proposal tries to take that authority away too. The gov is right this is nothing but bad for everyone in this countryhttps://blog.ucsusa.org/don-anair/trump-fuel-efficiency-rollback-is-an-attack-on-science-and-the-public-interest …Thanks. Cause pot smoke is not a worry...
-
Well, it's not usually spilled into public spaces as vehicle exhaust is, hmmmm?
-
Pot smoke.....leaf blowers, lawn mowers, snow throwers and snow mobiles all contribute to air quality. Fuel efficiency standards, as POTUS is discussing, don't necessarily correlate to air quality. Recall 'Dieselgate' where higher MPG also had worse emissions. 1/2
-
Given that we've taken ~ 99% of HC, CO, and NOx out of tailpipes since 1975, the issue for "air quality" is now CO2, which the Supreme Court required EPA to regulate 10 yrs ago. Emissions of CO2 correlate inversely to fuel consumption. But you knew that!

And expanding highways with no expectation of improving congestion, is helping Colorado’s air quality and in particular Denver’s brown cloud, how?

IDK, maybe fuel efficiency should be a consumer choice instead of a government mandate?

Plus...in their greedy grab for more $$ they ignore the FACT that smaller cars are often safer than the big SUVs. Check the ratings! My tiny Elantra rated higher than the Sonata sedan.
