We just flipped the switch on New River Valley's impressive new solar panel array—an installation that will generate almost 20 percent of the hospital's energy needs.
Conversation
Reality: taxpayers subsidize the solar installation costs. There is a 20 year payback period & the panels have a 20 year life. Makes zero business sense. Basically the taxpayers get ripped off. Stop the bs.

The project is in partnership with Secure Future and is financed by a bridge loan from Community Capital Bank of Virginia, with permanent financing through Secure Futures’ financial partners. Thank you!

Solar power's great, but that miniscule amount of it will be swamped by a factor of millions (billions?) by the two fracked-gas pipelines you are supporting - the equivalent of 45 (!) new coal-fired power plants. Ugh. bluevirginia.us/2017/08/mcauli

Instead of "flipping the switch" on a tiny solar project designed as a photo op, why don't you pull the plug on the $10 billion combined Atl Coast & Mt Valley Pipelines, which will vastly increase green house gases w/ spewed methane. And oh, join Sen and #StandWithRed

Your switch looks like it's over-compensating for something.... but awesome work on the Solar project!
