I've taken executive action to strengthen environmental justice efforts in Pennsylvania, and I'm thankful @POTUS shares my commitment. Funding will bolster our efforts to address environmental concerns and build healthier communities for all Pennsylvanians.

All Pennsylvanians should live in a clean and healthy environment. Communities of color and low-income communities are disproportionately home to contaminated sites.

We need to make sure that financial burdens don’t keep our best and brightest from taking on some of our most important jobs. Thank you to @SenatorMuth, @SenWilliamsPA, and @SenSantarsiero for pushing for this change.

This is a critical step to making sure our public servants get the relief they've earned — without a surprise bill. For example, now a Pennsylvanian with $50,000 in student loans forgiven through PSLF will avoid a $1,535 state income tax bill.

Today, I’m proud to announce that Pennsylvanians will not have to pay state income tax on the student loan debt relief they get from the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program and the Pennsylvania Student Loan Relief for Nurses Program.

There are far too many empty chairs around holiday dinner tables this year. These chairs should be filled with loved ones who tragically lost their lives to gun violence. Legislation preventing gun violence is a life-or-death issue. Let’s get to work.

Joining RGGI will give us the resources we need to invest in energy efficiency and home repairs that will lead to lower utility bills. In other RGGI states, electricity prices have gone down since the start of the program even as the rest of the nation’s costs have gone up.
