I believe in a Michigan where everyone has the opportunity to get ahead. The MI Opportunity Scholarship will provide a debt-free two-year degree or bring down the cost of a four-year degree. We need to make Michigan the place that our kids stay.

How about we go back to actually funding state institutions. Before the extreme rise in college costs universities were nearly funded completely by state budgets.

Since we have stripped things down to 20-30 percent of operation budgets funded by the state the remaining is passed along to the students with very little cost control measures. Your not fixing the problem just passing it along
