My administration is cutting through red tape with FEMA by using satellite imagery to assess the damage so debris on commercial and private property can be cleared quickly.

The session will also provide any necessary appropriations for SWFL as well as further reforms to the property insurance market.

Today, we have re-opened the causeway for our residents after completing temporary repairs more than a week ahead of schedule. Way to go!
Today, I thanked the first responders who took part in the historic search and rescue response following Hurricane Ian.

In the midst of the storm many first responders didn’t receive their $1,000 bonuses and today I hand delivered their checks to show Florida’s commitment to the heroes that never stop serving.
As part of this year’s budget, we allocated $200 million for school recognition awards for schools that demonstrated student growth & teaching excellence. We're sending awards to 1,400+ well-deserving schools across the state — many that can be used for more teacher compensation!
Thankful for the hard work that went into the temporary repair of the Sanibel Causeway that allowed a one-time convoy onto the island.
